The Physicians’ Community Impact Fund is a fund of the Eau Claire Community Foundation created by and for physicians to strengthen the health and well-being of the Chippewa Valley.
What makes PCIF special:
Open to All Physicians
Whether you are retired or practicing, and no matter your clinic or hospital affiliation, you are welcome. Every physician in the Chippewa Valley has a place in PCIF.
Honor the Legacy of Local Physicians
Families, friends, and donors can contribute in honor or memory of a Chippewa Valley physician, creating a lasting tribute to their dedication and service.
Have a Voice in Community Impact
Every founder and member helps shape the future of local healthcare by voting in the annual grant process to select the nonprofit projects we support.
Connect and Celebrate
Founders and members are invited each year to a special gathering to reconnect with colleagues and see the difference PCIF is making in the community.
Give in the Way That Works for You
Contributing is easy and flexible. Donations can be made through cash, appreciated securities, real estate, or other personal property. Contact ECCF for details.
The Grant Process
ECCF establishes endowments that are invested to provide long-term support for charitable purposes. When the endowment principals earn interest and dividends over time, the earnings are distributed to local non-profit organizations.
Beginning in 2026, annual grants from PCIF will support programs in the Chippewa Valley in the following areas:
Preventative Health:
Mental Health and Wellness
Access to Healthcare
Health and Education Advocacy
Hospice/End of Life Care
Grant Timeline
Founders and members (or their designee) will have the opportunity to vote on grant applications during the annual grant cycle. The number of grants and the dollar amount distributed will be determined annually.
